Back to Mensa Südpark!

At "Südpark", the former Philips area at the corner of Eupener Straße and Weisshausstraße, it's time to go to the dining hall again as from May: After a three-year break, the lights will finally be switched on again in the dining hall, which has been operated by Studierendenwerk since March 2017, and - as a supplement to the neighboring Mensa Eupener Straße - delicious food will be cooked for FH members.

The small dining hall with its nice outdoor terrace was closed in March 2020 as part of the Corona protection measures. A resumption of the service was not possible for a long time due to a lack of staff, but also because of problems with the water pipes. Now it should finally work on 2 May: With a small but fine offer Marcel Sauer and his team will bring the daily dining hall routine back to the “Südpark“, for now planned are the plate dish, the fish or meat classic and of course the vegan/vegetarian dish.

With its total of 300 seats, the former Philips company cafeteria will bring relief to the service offer of the even smaller Mensa Eupener Straße, which is struggling with capacity after Corona. With a little luck, you might even be able to enjoy your lunch break on the beautiful sun terrace.
