German-French photo competition

Take out your camera and shoot the ultimate photo on the theme of FREEDOM - as of now, students can take part in the German-French photo competition 2023 and win up to 1,000 euros prize money!

The competition is aimed specifically at students at universities in Germany and France. For the eighth time, Deutsche Studierendenwerk together with German student unions and their French partners CNOUS (national) and CROUS (regional) are calling for participation - this time under the theme FREEDOM. From all uploaded pictures, the jury of experts will select the works as well as the prize winners. The criteria include the relevance of the photographic work to the given topic, the creative thematic handling of the topic, the overcoming of clichés, drilled ways of thinking and prejudices. In addition, the technical quality of the photograph is important.

Here are the most important key data about the competition:

• The competition is open to students of all courses from Germany and France.
• Registration is via the project's website (the conditions of participation are also listed there).
• The deadline for registration is 30 March 2023.
• The German-French jury will make its decision in May 2023, consisting of representatives of the Cnous, Deutsches Studierendenwerk , the financial support organization DFJW and accomplished photographers.

The following prizes will be awarded:
1st prize: 1,000 euros
2nd prize: 500 euros
3rd prize: a German-French friendship award (without prize money) for a particularly successful commitment

The results of the jury will be announced in June 2023.
