15th Cooking like the pros: “Tour d’Eifel”

Regional variety-That is the theme of the 15th event of our annual “Cooking like the pros”.Wolfgang Rommel invites ten participants into Mensa Vita to show them the art of cooking.

This time, processing regional products is on the agenda. All ingredients such as fresh venison, trout, “Urkarotte”, walnuts and crayfish come from the Eifel, just a few kilometers away from Aachen. “We would like to make aware of the fact that we do not need avocados, quinoa and Tilapia fillets to prepare a delicious meal. Delicious ingredients can be found right at our doorstep,” Wolfgang Rommel said. He prepared a four course menu and wants to appeal especially to flexitarian.

All students of Aachen´s universities are eligible. Sign up fast for this event because the class is booked out quick. "Cooking like the pros" is going to take place on Saturday, 23 November, at 9 a.m. in the kitchen of Mensa Vita, Helmertweg 1. Afterwards, there will be a festive dinner to which each cooking class participant may invite a guest.
