Conquering the "mountain" once during your studies - by now almost a must for many of Aachen's students.The Lousberglauf, with its challenging 5.555 kilometers and its very special atmosphere, has long since ceased to be a purely student event, but one that many non-students also look forward to and that brings together many citizens of Aachen.

As every year, we at Studierendenwerk Aachen will be there when the starting signal is given for over 2,000 participants on 6 July after a two-year break. As a partner of the students in the areas of food, housing, student financing and childcare, but especially as the operator of the four residential towers in Rütscher Straße, we support this sporting event with the means at our disposal. Not only the good food in our dining halls, but also the fun of sports and exercise promotes the health well-being of the students - a common goal that has always connected us with the University Sports Center and that continues to shape and drive the cooperation!

Making the run a success: How the Studierendenwerk supports the organizers
Every year, the Studierendenwerk makes part of its dormitory grounds around the towers available and provides rooms for organizational matters such as the distribution of start numbers or the evaluation of the running times. To ensure that the best times can be measured accurately, the electricians will provide a reliable power supply for the technical equipment, and the janitors will be on site as contact persons, as will the many volunteers from the dormitories on Rütscher Straße. In addition, the Studierendenwerk will take over the catering in the VIP pavilion and provide sandwiches for the physical well-being of the team of helpers.

Sportsmen's menus in the refectories
With power over the Lousberg: Every year, the cafeteria chefs prepare delicious sportsmen's menus to match the race. On race day, carbohydrate and vitamin-rich food is offered in the dining halls.

The Studierendenwerk is looking forward to a great Lousberg run and wishes all participants good competition conditions and the university sports team a successful event!
