Sustainability Days 2023 with Studierendenwerk

The Sustainability Days of the ASten of RWTH Aachen and FH Aachen are all about intensively dealing with sustainable topics. For this purpose, there will be various lectures and workshops on the topic of "Our visions and ideas for the future" in the week from 24 to 29 April.

Studierendenwerk is participating in the action days with delicious dishes such as healthy bowls as the recommendation of the day. In addition, there is a meat-reduced offer and alternatives such as the additional soy schnitzel on Tuesday. The "rethought dining hall" idea workshop will also discuss how to make the dining hall more sustainable. The workshop will be held 25 April from 4 to 7 p.m. in Mensa Academica Theater Room. The organizers include not only the ASten, but also the NEiS project of the NRW Consumer Center and the dining department of Studierendenwerk.

What is NEiS?
NEiS is a project that covers the topics of food waste prevention and sustainable nutrition in higher education. In order to involve students, NEiS works together with the Studierendenwerk dining halls, among others, as a central actor for sustainable development on campus. The aim is to communicate connections between eating habits and sustainability and, at the same time, to develop and strengthen offers for sustainable consumption in the university environment.
