Recertification for Family Center Pusteblume!

Competent advice for parents, creative course offerings for children and individual pedagogical solutions for families in Aachen - the service profile of the Family Center Pusteblume is diverse. It also cooperates with various partners from the region and serves as a center for student parents from all over Aachen. Since 2008, the childcare center Pusteblume of Studierendenwerk Aachen has the seal of approval "Family Center NRW" - now the facility has been recertified for the third time. The seal of approval is awarded by the State Ministry for Children, Family, Refugees and Integration and is valid for four years.

Since the work of the Family Center Pusteblume concentrates above all on supporting student and non-student families in Aachen with individual counseling services and serving as a network of social service provider in the region, the focus of the certificate is on the service areas "counseling and support for children and families" and "communication". In both categories the feedback was excellent. The non-profit Ltd. PädQUIS (Pädagogische Qualitäts-Informations-Systeme -Pedagogical Quality Information Systems) attests to the center in the certificate: "In this area the quality seal is given and in addition a wide range of services is provided".

Jennifer Striegel, Head of the Family Center, is pleased about this: "The recertification as the NRW Family Center confirms the excellent work which the colleagues do. We are a strong partner for families in the region, and I am delighted that this has once again been recognized by the Ministry. Thanks to the seal of approval, we are now entering the next four years with our high-quality educational and counseling services motivated and strengthened. This is a benefit for student parents and families in the entire city area".
