Step by step: STW-Childcare centers open again!

Studierendenwerk kindergarten teachers are happy: In Corona times, a little bit of everyday life returns to the five Childcare centers. Since Thursday they are allowed to open their doors again - even if only step by step.

In recent weeks, most of the five facilities have only provided emergency care, which was directed at the children of students and university employees in systemically important professions. According to a decision by the State Government, children who are entitled to benefits as well as children with approved integration assistance are now allowed to attend the Childcare centers again.

On 28 May, this is to be continued step by step. Initially, all other pre-school children will again be allowed to attend the Childcare centers. Throughout June, all childcare restrictions are to be lifted and as far as possible normality is to be returned. Nevertheless, the strict hygiene rules are still to be followed: Face masks for the older children and thorough hand hygiene.
