Student unions must place greater burden on students:
Open letter to NRW Minister of Science Isabel Pfeiffer-Poensgen criticises insufficient financial support from the state

In an open letter to NRW's Minister of Science, Isabel Pfeiffer-Poensgen, all twelve of the state's student unions in the form of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Studierendenwerke NRW (ARGE) and the state-wide student representative body, the Landes-ASten-Treffen NRW (LAT NRW), have complained about the state's plans for a general subsidy for the twelve student unions. Despite data presented on the actual cost increases of the student unions, the state's subsidy for the student unions will only increase by 0.75 percent for 2022. Although personnel and material costs have risen many times over in some cases, the student unions state that the state of NRW obviously wants to continue creeping out of financial support for the student unions.
