Open Day at Jülich Campus

Research strength, local ties and an international atmosphere: three characteristics that distinguish the Jülich Campus of FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences. On Saturday, 17 June 2023, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the three departments of Chemistry and Biotechnology, Medical Engineering and Technomathematics, and Energy Engineering will open their doors to all interested parties for one day and offer an insight into the study programs, laboratories and institutes.
Lectures, experiments and laboratory explorations
While sparks fly during the high-voltage show "160 years of Nikola Tesla - the almost forgotten genius", guests will learn how waste materials from beer production can be used sensibly as an alternative to fossil raw materials during the demonstration "From beer brewing to sustainable biorefinery". In addition to attending these and other presentations, guests can also explore the labs on campus and try out exciting experiments and trials for themselves. The scientists will be available throughout the day to answer questions about their research, studies, and also life in Jülich.
The event will take place on Campus Jülich, Heinrich-Mußmann-Str.1, 52428 Jülich. Registration is not required, and admission is free.
Studierendenwerk will also be taking part in the open day: among other things, the campus-based childcare center "Wolkennest" for Fh students or employee, will be presenting its facilities and inviting visitors to enjoy freshly baked waffles. For a culinary break, the dining hall will be offering a special menu.
