Lemon Granita

Ingredients (for 2 people):

  • 175 ml water
  • 70 g sugar
  • 125 ml fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh lemon slices for decoration

Preparation:

  • In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the sugar, continuing to stir until the sugar has dissolved. Add more or less sugar according to taste.
  • Add the fresh lemon juice to the sugar water using a fine sieve. The strainer will prevent the lemon seeds and fibers from ending up in the drink.
  • Then pour the mixture into a container that is suitable for freezing. Cover the container with plastic wrap or a suitable lid and place in the freezer to chill.
  • Every 45 minutes or so, stir the granita with a fork. Finally, add crushed ice and stir again. Garnish with the fresh lemon slices.
