Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • 150 ml milk
  • 250 g sugar
  • 100 ml vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 550 g flour
  • 10 g baking powder

Preparation:

  • Mix the ingredients together. Beat the eggs until frothy.
  • Add baking powder at the end and stir in.
  • Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for ½ hour.
  • Divide the dough into four parts on a large baking sheet and roll out. Prick the dough with a fork to prevent bubbles from forming during baking.
  • Bake in the oven at about 180 °C for about 15 minutes until the dough browns very lightly. Then let cool.

For the filling and decoration:

  • First, cook the vanilla pudding from 1 L milk. Alternatively, the pudding can either be flavored or a product for cold mixing can be used (e.g. cream of paradise).
  • Place the baked cake batter on a plate and layer it alternately with the pudding, so that the top layer consists only of the vanilla pudding. Then sprinkle the custard layer with about 100 g of coconut flakes.
  • Cover the cake with a foil and store it in the refrigerator for one day. Then the cake can be cut.
